Anything Else / More Humour

An oxymoron is a phrase with two words put together that are opposite in meaning and thus create a new meaning.

Some relevant examples :

1) Living Dead

2) Jumbo Shrimp

3) Happy Marriage

4) Intelligent Redditor

Great post, does this substrate ever 'run out' of its goodness, do you replace it at intervals and how long between changes?

I have a nano tank with a betta and cherry shrimps. He has left them alone right from the start. I don't have glass shrimp with him but I can't see why you couldn't keep them with a betta. Glass shrimp are bigger than cherries, and with enough plants and decorations to hide in I can't see why you couldn't. Just make sure ol' betta gets food and he's not bored in the tank.If he has a good temperament they should be fine.

Ok, you have cherry shrimp and a betta with no problems huh, I tried that and while the betta did not seem to chase/annoy/attack the cherries, over a week or so the dozen I put in just umm disappeared, so I have to assume he was the culprit.

Admittedly they where smallish but I have not tried that since.

I'll have ten bucks on the big one in the corner.  ;D

Seriously though, I luve these snails ... I understand they could be troublesome in certain circumstances but for me a big thumbs up.

mosses of all types, subwassertang, frogbit for floating plants and duckweed for floating aswell. Just remember,as the name suggests, duckweed is a weed and you will always be thinning it out.

It is the KING of weeds and just seems to soldier on, not a big fan myself but there is probably a use for it.  :-X

For shrimp I am inclined to use those before other types, lots of benefits and very economical to run if you have a larger setup.

Hi,

I love'em, they keep all manner of krap under control and there fun to watch scurrying about.

Don't overfeed them or you WILL have a problem, otherwise I think you should be fine.

How about posting a pic of the tank, be good to check it out?

Crazy.
